Escape to the peaceful and private surroundings of Jarara, a newly renovated 4 bedroom timber cottage in the beautiful Blue Mountains. With 2.5 bathrooms, Jarara offers you the choice of a cozy log fire in the front living area or a gas heater in the larger living room. Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy breakfast in the morning sun on the timber deck overlooking the bushland. The master bedroom features a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower and toilet, while bedrooms 2 and 3 have queen size beds and bedroom 4 has 2 single beds with trundles. The main bathroom has a shower and bath, and there is a separate toilet in the laundry, which also has a washing machine and dryer.
All beds have electric blankets to keep you warm and cozy, and there is a futon and sofa bed available if needed. The living room has a full HD plasma TV and the master bedroom has another TV. WiFi is included. There is a DVD player, hair dryer, CD player, fans, microwave, cooking facilities, iron, refrigerator, and dishwasher for your convenience. There are also games and books to keep you entertained. Linen is provided. The Katoomba Cultural Centre and the Aquatic Centre are just a 5 minute drive or 10 minute walk away, and while the property is not fenced, there is plenty of open space for kids to play. A portable cot and high chair are also included. Come and relax at Jarara and experience the calming ambiance of this beautiful mountain retreat.

The Blue Mountains is a huge area with a massive National Park featuring many walking tracks. If you are travelling by car you will reach the edge of it after about 60 minutes of travel along the Great Western Highway. Katoomba is the main regional centre of the area with many shops restaurants and adventure companies offering tours of all kinds. There is an excellent hop on hop off bus service adjacent to the Katoomba railway station that will take you around approximately 24 local attractions ranging from parks and gardens to historic homes and museums. Katoomba and Leura are joined together. The centre of each town is only about 4 km apart. There is a major tourist office located at Echo Point, Katoomba where you may also view the famous Three Sisters after you have collected all the information on the local sights. Nearby is the famous cable car and the steepest railway in the world at Scenic World. See the “local attractions” at the top of this page for more information.
All properties offered by Blue Mountains Getaways are warm and cozy with plenty of heating. Even in the summertime you will find this area much cooler than Sydney. We suggest you bring warm clothes if you intend to explore the area on foot just in case
